Notes
Stormtrooper amigurumi is about 14 cm (5.5 in) tall.
I used Balinese big ply cotton yarn (light worsted yarn) and Tulip hook no. 4 (2.5 mm).
Its size may vary according to the materials you used.
Materials
- White and black yarn
- Black felt sheet
- Stuffing
- Glue
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- inc = increase (2 sc per stitch)
- dec = decrease (sc across two stitches)
- hdc = half double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- FLO = front loop only
- BLO = back loop only
- f/o = fasten off
LEGS (make 2)
R1 : Magic ring, 6 sc (6)
R2 : *inc* (12)
R3-6 : sc, 4 rounds (12)
R7 : BLO sc (12) (see picture 1 and 2)
R8-9 : sc, 2 rounds (12)

Knee protector in R7 of legs: FLO make 2 hdc cluster around
How to make 2 hdc cluster: make a knot, FLO in 1st sc of R7, 2 ch, hdc in the same stitch. *In the next FLO stitch, YO (yarn over) insert the hook into the stitch, YO and pull back through. YO insert the hook into the same stitch, YO, pull back through. We have 5 loops on the hook (see picture 5). YO and pull through all loops on the hook.*
Repeat step between (*) in the next FLO stitch. (See picture 6 and 7 for legs with knee protector)
Make second leg, don’t fasten off. Attach to first leg to make body.
BODY
Use black yarn
R10 : 12 sc in first leg, 12 sc in second leg (24)
Switch to white yarn
R11 : sc (24)
R12 : *6 sc, dec* (21)
R13 : sc (21)
R14 : *5sc, dec* (18)
R15 : *4 sc, dec* (15)
R16 : *3 sc, dec*, sl st (12)
Make sure the body is firmly stuffed and leave a tail for sewing on the head.
ARMS (make 2)
Use white yarn
R1 : Magic ring, 4 sc (4)
R2 : inc (8)
R3-5: sc, 3 rounds (8)
Switch to black yarn
R6 : sc (8)
Switch to white yarn
R7 : sc (8)
R8 : 6 sc, dec (7)
R9 : sc (7)
Leave a tail for sewing to the body.
HEAD
R1 : Magic ring, 6 sc (6)
R2 : *inc* (12)
R3 : *sc, inc* (18)
R4: *2 sc, inc* (24)
R5-11 : sc, 7 rounds (24)
Stuff as you go
R12 : *2 sc, dec* (18)
R13 : *sc, dec* (12)
R14 : *dec* (6)
With black yarn, sl st 14 times between R5 and R6.
MASK
R1 : Magic ring, 5 sc (5)
R2-5 : 5 sc, 4 rounds (5)
From here make in row
Row 6 : ch 1, 3 sc, turn (3)
Row 7 : ch 1, sc, inc, sc (4)
Leave a tail for sewing to the head.
Sew 3 black lines.
Cut black felt to make eyes and nose, glued to head. Sew mouth part with black yarn. Attach all parts with tapestry needle.
