Abbreviations

ch = chain
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (2 sc per stitch)
dec = decrease (sc across two stitches)
sl st = slip stitch
f/o = fasten off

Use main color
closed round, do not turn
Round 1:      Magic ring, 6 sc, sl st    (6)
Round 2:      ch 1, *inc* repeat around, sl st   (12)
Round 3:      ch 1, *1 sc, inc* repeat around, sl st  (18)
Round 4:      ch 1, *2 sc, inc* repeat around, sl st  (24)
Round 5:      ch 1, *3 sc, inc* repeat around, sl st   (30)
Round 6-8:   ch 1, sc around, sl st [3 rounds]   (30)
Round 9:     At this round we make fins and tail.
