Happy Chinese New Year to all of you who celebrate! 2023 is the year of the Water Rabbit and we leave the year of the Tiger behind. Hopefully this year we will be more abundant in blessings and happiness.
Last year I made Little Tiger amigurumi, you can read the crochet pattern in this link. This year I made Chinese New Year Rabbit amigurumi. They are so cute! I made this Chinese New Year Rabbit crochet pattern based on my Little Bunny crochet pattern. These patterns became part of the Chinese zodiac amigurumi that I made.
Actually it’s easy to make this Chinese New Year Rabbit amigurumi. From the basic Little Bunny pattern it’s just a matter of changing the colors and adding some details. However, in this post I write down the crochet pattern specifically for each rabbit boy and rabbit girl to make it easier for beginners to follow.
You can read this rabbit crochet pattern FREE in this post. The PDF crochet pattern is also available to purchase on my Blog Shop, Etsy, Ravelry, and Ko-fi Shop.
You can also read other animal crochet patterns I’ve made HERE. I’ll always be adding new animal crochet pattern, so stay tuned!
I hope you like the pattern. Have fun!

Notes
Chinese New Year Rabbit amigurumi is about 10 cm (4 inches) tall.
I used small ply Balinese cotton yarn (sport yarn, #2 Fine) and Tulip hook no. 2 (2 mm).
The similar yarn you can use is Schachenmayr Catania (100% cotton; 50 g (1.8 oz); 125 m (137yds)).
Its size may vary according to the materials you used.
Feel free to use your favorite colors combination to make cute bunnies!
