Rimuru Crochet Pattern

It’s been a long time since I wanted to make Rimuru amigurumi crochet pattern, and it’s finally done! At the first time I watched the anime on Muse Indonesia I couldn’t stop watching it until the last episode. At that time Season 2 had not yet aired with the Indonesian subtitles, so I continued watching it on Muse Asia. This anime is really interesting. The original title is Tensei Shitara Suraimu Datta Ken or Tensura for short. The English title is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
I think this is the first isekai anime that I watched with the theme of reincarnation in non-human form, so I was really excited even though it felt a bit strange at first. Ugh, reincarnation as a slime?
I think Tensura is the best isekai anime! Rimuru is the best isekai character! Tensura movie has been released in April 2023, satisfying this longing for Rimuru. Haha.

Notes
Rimuru Tempest amigurumi is about 8.5 cm (3.35 inches) tall.
Slime body version is about 3 cm (1.2 inches) in diameter and 2,5 cm (1 inch) height.
I used small ply Balinese cotton yarn (sport yarn, #2 Fine) and Tulip hook no. 3 (2.25 mm).
The similar yarn you can use is Schachenmayr Catania (100% cotton; 50 g (1.8 oz); 125 m (137 yds)).
Its size may vary according to the materials you used.
Materials
Sport yarns:
– beige, royal blue, light blue denim, sky blue, white, black
(Schachenmayr Catania color shades: Sand (404), Royal (00201), Graublau (269), Tiffany (00432), Weiss (106), Schawrz (110))
(I used less than a 125m/50g ball of each color when making this project)
A bit of black embroidery thread
2.25 mm crochet hook
7 mm safety eyes
Polyester fill
Tapestry needle
Marker
Scissors
Adhesive/fiber glue
Pins
Abbreviations (US Terms)
MR = magic ring
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
inc = sc increase (2 sc in next stitch)
dec = sc decrease (join next 2 sts into 1)
BLO = back loop only
FLO = front loop only
sl st = slip stitch
Legs (make 2)
Use royal blue
Round 1: MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2: *2 sc, inc* 2 times (8)
Change to light blue denim
Round 3: *3 sc, inc* 2 times (10)
Change to black
Round 4: sc in each st (10)
Cut the yarn.
Make 2nd leg, don’t cut the yarn, continue to work the body.
Body
Round 5: 2 ch, sc in each st of 1st leg, sc in 2 ch, sc in each st of 2nd leg, sc in the opposite side of 2 ch (24)
Round 6: sc in each st (24)
Round 7: *6 sc, dec* 3 times (21)
Change to royal blue
Round 8: sc in each st (21)
Round 9: BLO sc in each st (21)
Round 10: *5 sc, dec* 3 times (18)
Round 11: sc in each st (18)
Fill as you go
Round 12: *dec, 4 sc* 3 times (15)
Round 13: *dec, 3 sc* 3 times (12)
Round 14: 1 sc, dec, 1 sc* 3 times (9)
Continue to work the head.
Head
Change to beige
Round 1: *inc* 9 times (18)
Round 2: *1 sc, inc* 9 times (27)
Round 3: *8 sc, inc* 3 times (30)
Round 4-10: sc in each st – 7 rounds (30)
Attach eyes between Round 6 and 7, 5 sc apart.
Round 11: *dec, 3 sc* 6 times (24)
Fill as you go
Round 12: *dec, 2 sc* 6 times (18)
Round 13: *dec, 1 sc* 6 times (12)
Round 14: *dec* 6 times (6)
Fill before close the hole.
Fasten off.

Coat Lower Part
Use royal blue
FLO start from the center of the front body or the 11th st on Round 8.
Round 1: FLO make 1 ch, inc in next st, *6 sc, inc* 2 times, 5 sc, 1 sc in the same stitch of 1 ch, sl st in 1st sc (24)
Round 2: 1 ch, sc in each st (24)
Round 3-5: 1 ch, turn, sc in each st (24)
Fasten off.
Arms (make 2)
Use beige
Round 1: MR 6 sc (6)
Change to light blue denim
Round 2: sc in each st (6)
Change to royal blue
Round 3-5: sc in each st – 3 rounds (6)
sl st, turn, 2 sc, sl st
No need to fill the arms.
Leave a long end for sewing.
Hair
Use sky blue
Round 1: MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2: *inc* 6 times (12)
Next we work the strands (S), consist of 2 layers on BLO and FLO.
S1: 18 ch, skip 1 ch, 2 sl st, 15 sc, BLO sl st in next st (17)
S2-6: 22 ch, skip 1 ch, 2 sl st, 19 sc, BLO sl st in next st – 5 strands (21)
S7: 18 ch, skip 1 ch, 2 sl st, 15 sc, BLO sl st in next st (17)
S8-11: 8 ch, skip 1 ch, 2 sl st, 5 sc, (insert in both loops) sl st in next st – 4 strands (7)
S12: 10 ch, skip 1 ch, 2 sl st, 7 sc, (insert in both loops) sl st in next st (9)
S13-18: 22 ch, skip 1 ch, 2 sl st, 19 sc, FLO sl st in next st – 6 strands (21)
S19: 10 ch, skip 1 ch, 2 sl st, 7 sc, FLO sl st in next st (9)
Fasten off.
Scarf
Use white
51 ch, skip 1 ch, 50 sc (50)

Assembling
- Sew the arms in Round 12 of the body.
- Put hair onto the head, BLO strands on the top side, shorter strands as bangs (S8-11). Pin the FLO strands with a gap between the strands, then close the gaps with BLO strands. If you are pleased with the position, add adhesive to the hair strands one by one. You just need a bit of adhesive for the bangs, near the starting base.
- Tie the scarf around the neck.
Slime Body
Use basic slime body pattern from Mini Slimes Amigurumi to make slime version of Rimuru.
Use black embroidery thread to embroider the eyes between Round 5 and 6.
