Felip the Dwarf Amigurumi

The latest crochet pattern from Crochethea, Felip the Dwarf amigurumi, is in this post. Still in the Stories from Fairy Tale Land series.

Last week I shared Oki the Dwarf amigurumi crochet pattern HERE. Oki is incomplete without Felip because Oki and Felip are BFF aka best friends forever. They always play together, also being nosy together, hihi.

Just found out about Oki and Felip? They are characters from Bobo Magazine in the Stories from Fairy Tale Land rubric. Bobo magazine is not only my favorite magazine when I was a child, even now I still like reading Bobo magazine, hehe.

The Stories from Fairy Tale Land is one of my favorite stories. There is also an online version at bobo.grid.id (in Indonesian).

If you have made Oki the Dwarf amigurumi, so you need to make Felip the Dwarf amigurumi too. It’s more fun to play with both of them. I guarantee they won’t be nosy.

Materials

Yarns:
– Skin tone
– Red
– Brown
– Black
– White
– Pink
8 mm safety eyes
Stuffing
Adhesive, make sure it’s safe for the yarn you use (optional)
Hook
Tapestry needle
Scissors

Abbreviations

ch = chain
sc = single crochet
inc = single crochet increase (2 sc in next st)
dec = single crochet decrease (join next 2 sts into 1)
BLO = back loop only
sl st = slip stitch

Notes

Felip the Dwarf amigurumi is about 13.5 cm (5.3 inches) tall.
I used small ply balinese cotton yarn and Tulip hook no. 2/0 (2.00 mm hook).

Arms (make 2)

With skin tone
Round 1:     MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2:     2 sc, inc, 3 sc (7)
Round 3:     sc in each stitch (7)
Change to green
Round 4:     sl st in each stitch (7)
Round 5:     BLO sc in each stitch (7)
Round 6-11: sc in each stitch – 6 rounds (7)
Leave a tail for sewing.
No need to stuff the arms.

Legs (make 2)

With red
Round 1:     MR, 5 sc (5)
Round 2:     *inc* 5 times (10)
Round 3-8:   sc in each stitch – 6 rounds (10)
Stuff the legs
Don’t cut the yarn in second leg, continue to work body part.

Body

Round 9: 3 ch, 10 sc in first leg, 3 sc in ch, 10 sc in second leg, 3 sc in ch (26)

Round 10-11: sc in each stitch – 2 rounds (26)
Round 12:   Change to black, BLO 11 sc, change to white, 2 sc, change to black, 13 sc (26)
Round 13:    Change to red, BLO 5 sc, dec, 11 sc, dec, 6 sc (24)
Round 14:      sc in each stitch (24)

Round 15:      10 sc, dec, 10 sc, dec (22)

Stuff as you go

Insert safety eyes between Round 29 and 30, 10 stitches apart
Embroider with pink yarn on the cheek

Sew arms to body.
Embroider the head with brown yarn to make fringe.

Row 3: inc, 1 sc, dec, 1 ch, turn (4)
Row 4: 3 sc dec, inc, 1 ch, turn (3)

Fasten off.

Left flap
Skip 23 sts from right flap.
Row 1: 1 ch, 4 sc, 1 ch, turn (4)
Row 2: inc, 1 sc, dec, 1 ch, turn (4)

Maybe you need to pull it a bit when put the hat on Felip’s head.

Collar

With white
Work below Row 1 of cape.
Row 1: 1 ch, sc in each stitch, 1 ch, turn (21)
Row 2: BLO 4 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 4 sc (24)
Fasten off.
Fold the collar and put on cape around Felip’s neck. Sew the upper edge.
