Finally I made baby Yoda amigurumi! It turned out so cute! I wonder why I didn’t make it long time ago. I saw a bunch of baby Yoda amigurumis on Facebook groups last year and finally I can show up mine here. Baby Yoda crochet pattern is free in this post.

Baby Yoda or The Child and now known as Grogu, is a character from Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, which is broadcast on Disney + television network. Since appearing in the series, this alien baby, whose name was not initially known, immediately captured the hearts of the audience because he is cute and adorable. Then baby Yoda amigurumis made by fans began to appear.
My baby Yoda amigurumi is a simple one. It can be made in a couple of hours. I share baby Yoda crochet pattern free in this post. But if you need printable PDF crochet pattern you can purchase it in my Esty Shop or Ravelry.

Notes
Baby Yoda amigurumi is about 7 cm height.
I used small ply Balinese cotton yarn (8 ply sport yarn) and Tulip hook no 2 (2 mm).
Its height may vary based on the materials you used.
Materials
Yarns (8 ply sport yarn):
– green
– brown
8 mm safety eyes
Tulip hook no. 2 (2 mm)
Tapestry needle
Fiber fill
Scissors
Abbreviations
MR = magic ring
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (2 sc in next stitch)
dec = decrease (join next 2 sts into 1 sc)
sl st = slip stitch
BLO = back loop only
Head
Use green
Round 1: MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2: *inc* 6 times (12)
Round 3: *1 sc, inc* 6 times (18)
Round 4: *1 sc, inc, 1 sc* 6 times (24)
Round 5: *3 sc, inc* 6 times (30)
Round 6-9: sc in each stitch – 4 rounds (30)
Attach eyes between Round 7 and 8, 5 sc apart.
Round 10: *dec, 3 sc* 6 times (24)
Fill as you go
Round 11: *dec, 2 sc* 6 times (18)
Round 12: *dec, 1 sc* 6 times (12)
Fasten off.
Body
Use brown
Round 1: MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2: *inc* 6 times (12)
Round 3: *1 sc, inc* 6 times (18)
Round 4: *1 sc, inc, 1 sc* 6 times (24)
Round 5: *3 sc, inc* 6 times (30)
Round 6: BLO sc in each stitch (30)
Round 7-8: sc in each stitch (30)
Round 9: *dec, 8 sc* 3 times (27)
Round 10: *dec, 7 sc* 3 times (24)
Round 11-12: sc in each stitch (24)
Fill as you go
Round 13: *dec, 6 sc* 3 times (21)
Round 14: *dec 5 sc* 3 times (18)
Round 15: *dec, 1 sc* 6 times (12)
Leave a tail for sewing. Sew body to the head, fill again before you close the hole.

Arms (make 2)
Use green
Round 1: MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2: sc in each stitch (6)
Change to brown
Round 3-6: sc in each stitch – 4 rounds (6)
sl st, turn, 2 sc, sl st.
No need to fill arms.
Leave a tail for sewing.
Sew arms in Round 14 of the body.

Collar
Work it around the neck.
Use brown
Round 1: 28 ch, sl st in 1st ch, 1 ch, sc in each ch (28)
Round 2-3: sc in each stitch (28)
Fasten off.
Ears (make 2)
Use green
Round 1: MR, 4 sc (4)
Round 2: sc in each stitch (4)
Round 3: *inc* 4 times (8)
Round 4-5: sc in each stitch (8)
Round 6: *1 sc, inc* 4 times (12)
Round 7: *3 sc, inc* 3 times (15)
Round 8: *dec, 1 sc* 5 times (10)
Leave a tail for sewing.
Flat the ears, sew to the head.
