Many years ago, before I focused on making amigurumi, I wandered the fictional world under the auspices of Le Chateau de Phantasm or LCDP. Once upon a time, there was a challenge from the Crazy Castle Scientist to write a story with the theme of Isekai.
Isekai is a term from the phenomenon of “being thrown into another world”. This theme is divided into 4 sub-themes based on the way the characters come to another world: (i) Reincarnation (reincarnation in another world), (ii) Summoned (summoned to another world), (iii) Slider (accidentally entered to another world, and (iv) Possession (entering into someone in another world).
I chose the Slider sub-theme and wrote a story called Mengejar Pelangi (Chasing the Rainbow). The characters who experience isekai in this story are Arco the rainbow bunny and Gregor the cloud bunny. They fall into the human world and try to return to their world with the help of kindhearted humans.
When Mengejar Pelangi was written, I used bunny amigurumis from Wayuki’s pattern that I had made years before as the characters. However, I wanted to make my own version of the rainbow bunny amigurumi. Then, here comes the rainbow bunny which the pattern I share for all of you.
The story of Mengejar Pelangi is incorporated in an anthology along with other stories by LCDP residents, published in PDF format. You can download the LCDP Anthology – ISEKAI by click the button below (in Indonesian, sorry).
